PGC considers itself very different, in that we offer our clients an assurance that once engaged on an assignment, we will continue with our work until the client has arrived at the result they desire. For example, should a client choose not to appoint a candidate from our first shortlist, then we will not seek to charge additional fees, but will prepare another shortlist and as many more as necessary, until the client meets a candidate they want to appoint. Similarly, should a client appoint a candidate that within three months proves to be incapable of the role, PGC will prepare and present shortlists until the client successfully appoints another candidate. Although our consultants do not insist upon it, we offer to join our clients at shortlist interviews. Many take us up on this offer as they can be sure we will add value to the proceedings and that we will not have shortlisted any weak candidates. PGC is an independent private business wholly owned by its consultants. Our clients can therefore be assured of the best service, advice and results from any and all of PGC’s experienced professionals. Taking these factors together with the in-depth consultative analysis we always undertake at the start of every assignment, it should come as no surprise that PGC is very rarely asked to prepare more than one shortlist. Indeed, it is regularly the case that PGC is subsequently engaged to undertake further assignments or formally contracted as a preferred supplier.
